1st -  Lublin Rod & Gun Club Jamboree  This will be held at the Lublin Pavilion with Polka music ,raffles and a Chicken BBQ going on .So come on out and enjoy the fun.  Contact: Ray Lewan 715-669-3642

8th  -  Saint Peter & Paul's Church Dinner & Bazaar - Ss. Peter & Paul Church, Gilman, will host its bazaar on Sunday, Aug. 8. The Family Style Dinner, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., features oven fried chicken, Polish sausage and sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing, green beans, rolls, etc., plus pie, along with coffee or milk. Adults--$9.00; Children 6-12--$3.00; Age 5 and under--Free. As part of the celebration, besides the dinner, there will be a greased pig contest, an auction, music, Bingo, games, a country store, bean bags, a cakewalk, and a raffle. 8th  -  Golf Scramble Tournament:  Community United Church of Christ is having a Golf tournament benefiting Parent Resource Center. It will be held at The Black River Golf Club on Sunday August 8th at 2:30. Shotgun start. Food will be set up at 4:30 pm. Non-golfers can eat for $5.00. Prizes awarded on each hole. 14th- “Discover Medford’s Wildside”- Keeping a Nature Journal   Reconnect with the natural world. Observe together, record what's important to you. Bring your own journal/notebook or a basic notebook will be furnished. Meet at the Pine Line Trail Parking Lot at 9:00am. Great for all ages. The walk will last 1-2 hours. Free.

14th  Cowboy Days  -  The Ole’ Country Church W4221 apple ave….Medford, Wi 54451...will be celebrating COWBOY DAYS on Saturday August 14th 10am-7pm and Sunday August 15th 1pm til 6pm. 17th  Health & Safety FairAllied Health Wildberg Chiropractic and the Memorial Health Center will be sponsoring a children’s health and safety fair for the community from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Medford Fire Department located on Broadway in Medford.  Fun for the entire family, including but not limited to: car seat safety checks, child development, back pack checks by Wildberg Chiropractic, learn about 4-H, Boy & Girl Scouting, children’s eye care, karate & gymnastic demonstrations, bicycle safety by the Medford Police Department, physical fitness programs by Memorial Health Center, fire safety by the Medford Fire Department, snacks,prizes and much more. 21st  "Paws for a Cause"  2010 Walk-a-Thon.  Registration at 9:00am, walk begins at 10:00am. Held at Medford Jaycees Shelter. T-shirt with paid registration and a bandana for every pooch. Dogs Must be on leashes abd proof of rabies vaccination must be provided. Treasure Hunt and a demonstration by Officers Chad Liske and Cochise. $15.00 per person with pledges and $17.00 without pledges. Water provided for dogs and (registered) walkers. 28    Whittlesey Lions Funraiser Saturday:  Youth archery and instructional fun day starting at 12:00(noon). 8th  Memorial health Center Foundation's Charitable Golf Tournament. The tournament will be held at Black River Golf Club and Tee Hi Golf Club (rain or shine). Lunch, dinner prizes on every hole, paddle wheel and a silent auction at the end of the day.

8th  Memorial Hospital Foundation Silent Auction:  This will be held at The Veranda from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Proceeds will assist the foundation in the purchase of  Advanced Equipment for the Birthing Department.

  Medford alumni Golf Tournament      This event will start at 9:00 am at the Tee Hi Golf Course. It is an 18-hole trounament . Advance registration is required for the first 18 teams only. All participants must have attended Medford Area Schools or be a spounse, friend or supporter, or know a graduate. $40.00 per person, which includes green fees and hole prizes. Lunch will be served.   Spirit Lake Kids Pan Fishing Contest:    This will be held at the Spirit Lake Boat Landing from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Contest is for children ages 15 and under. Under 12 need to be accompanied by an adult. Fee of $3.00 includes meal and gift.   Contact: Jim Poier at 715.427.3778 

  Silent Glide Canoe and Kayak Pan Fishing Tournament:     The fishing tournament will be held from 7:00 am to 1:30 pm with prizes and awards being given away immediately following the tournament.  Points will be awarded by a ombinatin of fish weight, a treasure hunt, boat handling skills and elapsed time bonus.   ATV Classes --    Details: -- This years ATV Safety Class will start on July 12th with registration from 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm and then class will follow from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Class will resume on Friday July 16th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Testing will be on Saturday July 17th from 8:00 am to approximately 1:00 pm. Portions of the class will be held outside so students are required to bring clothing suitable for the weather conditions. Students must pick up their ATV Safety Class book in advance of the classes. Prior to the class the students must read through the entire book and answer all of the end of chapter quizzes. Saturday's test will involve both a written and riding test. Once testing is completed a meal will be provided and then the class will go on a group trail ride. In the Gilman area books can be picked at the Gilman Hardware Store

   Lublin DaysThere will be a volleyball tournament on Saturday and softball tournament on Saturday and Sunday. Polish ethnic supper on Saturday with polka music on Saturday afternoon.
