TAYLOR COUNTY CAMPSITES Eastwood Campground is located on the east side of the Mondeaux Flowage. It has 22 standard campsites. A boat ramp gives access to the Mondeaux Flowage. Campsites include parking spurs, fire grills, picnic tables and tent pads. Drinking water, accessible vault toilets and trash dumpsters are available. Winter camping is available however, water is not available during the winter months. Travel north from Medford on State Hwy 13 for about 15 miles. Turn left (west) on County Trunk Hwy D for 6.5 miles, then left (south) on Forest Rd 104 and travel 1/2 mile to campground entrance. Spearhead Point Campground is located on the west side of the Mondeaux Flowage. This 27 unit campground if the most popular on the flowage. There is a boat access and many sites have small docks which can be used for fishing or landing a boat. Drinking water, picnic shelter, and vault toilets are available. There are 3 sites that can be reserved for a first-come first-served basis. Travel north from Medford on State Hwy 13 for 4 miles, turn left (west) on County Hwy M for 7 miles. Turn right (north) on County Hwy E for 8.5 miles then turn right (east) on Forest Rd 1563 for about 1 mile. Turn right on Forest Rd 106 and look for entrance at the top of the hill. Westpoint is a 15-unit campground on the western shores of the Mondeaux Flowage. This campground is enjoyed by those who prefer a quieter, less active camping experience. Drinking water, accessible vault toilets, trash dumpster, parking spur,and fire grills are provided. Camping available on a first-come first-serve basis. Travel north from Medford for about 4 miles on State Hwy 13. Turn left (west) on County Hwy M for about 7 miles. Turn right (north) on County Hwy E for 8.5 miles then turn right (east) on Forest Rd 1563 for 1 mile. Turn right (east) for 1 mile to the campground entrance. North Twin Lake is on the southern end of the Mondeaux Flowage and is a quiet secluded campground with 6 sites. Each campsite has a parking spur, fire grill and picnic table. A small swimming beach, boat access, fishing pier, picnic area, drinking water, and vault toilets are provided. Travel north from Medford on State Hwy 13 for 4 miles. Turn left (west) on County Hwy M for 7 miles and turn right (north) on County Hwy E for 6 miles. Turn right on Forest Rd 102 for 1 mile then right on Forest Rd 566 for 1 mile. Picnic Point offers 4 premium sites for tent campers equipped with parking spurs, fire grills and picnic tables. A boat access, vault toilets and drinking water are provided. Travel north from Medford 4 miles on State Hwy 13, turn left (wets) on County Hwy M for about 7 miles. Turn right (north) on County Hwy E for 8.5 miles then right on Forest Rd 1563 for 1 mile, turn right (south) on Forest Rd 106 for 2 miles to the campground entrance. Kathryn Lake Campground is located approximately 1/2 mile from Perkinstown and offers 10 sites equipped with fire grills and picnic tables along the 62-acre lake. Boat access and a small swimming beach are available, also, drinking water and vault toilets are provided. Travel north from Medford on State Hwy 13 for 4 miles then turn left (west) on County Hwy M for 15 miles. Turn left (south) for 1/2 mile on Forest Rd 121 to the campground. Chippewa Campground is located near the 2,714 acre Chippewa Waters Flowage (Miller Dam). This 78-unit campground can accommodate RV's up to 35 ft in length. A boat ramp, 2 swimming beaches, playground, trailhead for the Perkinstwon Motorized Trail and a trailer sanitary station are provided. Campsites include a parking spur, fire grill, picnic table and tent pad. Four sites are accessible for disabled persons. Three campground loops have hot showers and flush toilets and 1 loop has accessible vault toilets and running water with warm showers. Nearby Miller Dam offers a popular shore fishing area. Campsites may be reserved. Travel north from Medford on State Hwy 13 for 4 miles. Turn left (west) on County Hwy M for about 24 miles. Turn left (south) on Forest Rd 1417 for 1 mile to campground site. TAYLOR COUNTY FOREST AREA Wood Lake/Camp 8 Campgrounds are located in the northeast corner of Taylor County. Facilities include a boat landing, swimming, picnic area, drinking water and toilets. These sites are on a first-come first-serve basis. RIB LAKE AREA Lakeview Park Campground is located in Rib Lake. There are 27 sites available with electricity, toilets, showers and a boat landing. These sites are on a first-come first-serve basis. Spirit Lake Campground is located 7 miles north of Rib Lake on Hwy 102. Water and electricity hookups are available, also tent sites and hot showers. For reservations please call 715-427-5544. MEDFORD AREA Medford City Park Campground is located in downtown Medford near the City Park along the Black River/River Walk. There are 9 sites with electricity and fire grills provided. Water, toilets and showers nearby at the City Pool (when in season). These sites are on a first-come first-serve basis.
